Napperby Station Field Day

Friday 19 October 2007

Approximately 140 people attended the Napperby Field Day to view the new water management technologies on diplay which included the 'Walk-Over-Weighing' and automatic cattle drafting.  This was captured on live video and transmitted 2km to the Tilmouth Well Roadhouse over the new SANDS network.

Also displayed was real time information on water levels, rainfall, still photos and water medicators from the 15 watering points that the Observant telemetry system is monitoring across the property.

The field day also featured a range of presentations on livestock management and marketing, carrying capacity calculators, the NT Heifer Project, water medication, remote management and the WaterSmart Pastoral Production project in other regions of Australia.
