People gathered at Mount Ive Station once again for the South
Australian Project wrap-up day where final project outcomes were
delivered.

Above - Andy Bubb shows video footage of the automatic
drafter and Walk over Weighing systems at Napperby
Station in the NT as part of the DKCRC's 21st Century Pastoralism
project.

Above - Tim Stockman demonstrates how the telemetry
system was specifically created for Mount Ive and shows what
is involved from when he receceives the GPS coordinates
for the water points being monitored through to the
system in use.
Presentations included:
- Presentation on the benefits gained and the different
systems used on all of the WaterSmart demonstration sites
by Colleen James, WaterSmart Project Officer
- Update on Mount Ive Station by Len Newton,
owner/manager
- Field tour to see the new wireless trough level sensors being
trialled at Mount Ive
- Presentation on the 'Saving Every Drop' evaporation trial at
Buckleboo Station by Deb Allen of Rural Solutions
- Update on the Gawler Ranges Sustainable Rangelands project and
other Gawler Ranges projects by Merri Tothill of Rural
Solutions
- Update on the groundwater mapping project and announcement of
project extension and further funds for groundwater mapping in the
Gawler Ranges region by Lynn Brake of the University of South
Australia.
