Jones says Dry Times:
Blueprints for a Red Land is a new book from the Desert Knowledge
Cooperative Research Centre. Dr Mark Stafford-Smith, Author, Dry
Times: Blueprints for a Red Land, says the book investigates the
specific knowledges required to live in desert areas of Australia,
and how this allows residents to manage the area sustainably. He
notes that this knowledge becomes more important as climate change
makes more areas 'desert like'. He says desert life is uncertain,
meaning people must build up resources.
