49 CRCs are currently operating in six industry areas.

Since the commencement of the CRC Program, all parties have
committed more than $9.6 billion (cash and in-kind) to CRCs. This
includes:
- $2.7 billion from the CRC Program
- $2.9 billion from universities
- $2.1 billion from industry
- $1.3 billion from state governments
- $1.2 billion from CSIRO
- $0.8 billion from other sources.
Allen Consulting: "It takes 9 years to reap the benefits of a
CRC and for every $200 put towards a CRC there is a $300 return to
the taxpayer."
