We encourage you to visit our new
home where we are co-located with Desert Knowledge Australia and
Desert Peoples Centre.
Desert Knowledge Australia
links people, businesses and organisations across Australia and
overseas to achieve harmony, sustainability and wealth creation in
desert regions, identifying and sharing skills and knowledge to
address desert challenges and create opportunities. Desert
Knowledge Australia is a statutory corporation of the Northern
Territory with a national and international mandate.
The Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre is a
national research and brokerage institution that links researchers
with 27 partners. The Desert Knowledge CRC focuses these research
efforts on creating useful outcomes with commercial application for
desert people, communities and our partners. These partners provide
in-kind and cash support to the Desert Knowledge CRC .
Through the Desert Peoples
Centre, Batchelor Institute of Indigenous
Tertiary Education and the Centre for Appropriate
Technology have committed to work together to develop
innovation education and training services that harness strategic
links with personal, community and economic development services to
achieve greater opportunities and provide outcomes for Indigenous
Australians, particularly residents of desert Australia.
We would like to express our thanks
to CSIRO who have housed us in our initial years.
Kind Regards
Jan Ferguson
