The Managing Director is supported by the Desert Knowledge CRC
secretariat based in Alice Springs.
The Business Manager, in conjunction with necessary bookkeeping
support and external auditors, provides the required strategic
experience in accountancy, human resources and IP management and
commercialisation.
The Office Manager is responsible for the Project Tracking System
(also known as PTS), travel and accommodation and general office
enquiries and works with the Program Assistants to ensure that
workshops and other research events run smoothly.
The Contract Research Officer oversees the commercial projects for
the Desert Knowledge CRC.
The Managing Director's Personal Assistant provides extensive
administrative support to the MD and the secretariat.
The Executive Officer coordinates the Executive Management Team,
providing advice on policy coordination, data management and
administrative support.
The Research Program Assistant provides support to the General
Manager Research and to the Core Project Leaders.
The Program Assistant provides administrative support to the
Office Manager.

The Desert Knowledge CRC is making a significant investment in
communications, knowledge brokering, websites, and networks with
the goal of making Desert Knowledge CRC the nationally and
internationally recognised point of contact for desert knowledge in
Australia. The communications function includes high quality
publishing and media programs committed to ensuring Desert
Knowledge CRC achievements are recorded and publicised. The
Communications Team comprises a Media Officer, a Publications
Officer, and a Communications Officer.
